GREETINGS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Delbert Dearing

*SONG OF PRAISE
“Victory in Jesus” UMH #370 (vs 1,3)

Vs. 1: I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory, how he gave his life on Calvary to save a wretch like me; I heard about his groaning, of his precious blood’s atoning, then I repented of my sins and won the victory.

Refrain: O victory in Jesus, my Savior forever! He sought me and bought me with his redeeming blood; he loved me ere I knew him, and all my love is due him; he plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

Vs. 3: I heard a-bout a mansion he has built for me in glory, and I heard about the streets of gold beyond the crystal sea; about the angels singing and the old redemption story, and some sweet day I’ll sing up there the song of victory.
Repeat Refrain

THE SCRIPTURE READING Brad Banner Psalm 23

*SONG OF PRAISE

“Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah” UMH #127 (vs 1,3)

Vs. 1: Guide me, O thou great Je-ho-vah, pil-grim through this bar-ren land. I am weak, but thou art might-y; hold me with thy power-ful hand. Bread of heav-en, feed me till I want no more; feed me till I want no more.

Vs 3: When I tread the verge of Jor-dan, bid my anx-ious fears sub-side; death of death and hell’s de-struc-tion, land me safe on Ca-naan’s side. Songs of prais-es, songs of prais-es, I will ev-er give to thee; I will ev-er give to thee.

Pastoral Prayer/Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*THE AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Brad Banner

Affirmation from 1 Timonthy UMH #889

Leader: There is one God and there is one mediator, Christ Jesus, who came as a ransom for all to whom we testify.

ALL: This saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance: That Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners, and was manifested in the flesh, vindicated n the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed in throughout the world, taken up in glory. Great indeed is the mystery of the gospel. Amen
